Because blarg.

I don't particularly like having a to-do list. I especially don't like having one where everything on it is time-consuming and horrible. And I really don't like the fact that it includes back-to-back audits by two of our more difficult customers.

Nor do I like the fact that I'm going to have to cover a lab shift for one of my staff. But I'm nice, so I'll let him take that holiday to Iceland anyway.

I am leery of complaining about work, myself, after getting in trouble for doing it wrong during my internship in Philadelphia... but maybe as long as no names are named it's okay?

I do like having a to-do list. I'd much rather have specific tasks to perform than vague expectations I'm not really sure how to fulfill. Checking things off as complete, and especially completing a series of check-boxes, makes me happy. It's why I do ridiculous, tedious editing projects on the wiki. {= )

Can't argue with audits being unpleasant, though. I've never had one, but being looked over always makes me edgy and more inclined to make mistakes. I don't like anyone watching me while I work. >.
